Orienteering

Group B orienteering. I wonder if you can work out which team.won? Clue: they share a birthday and look really proud of themselves!

Class 4 Bun Sale - Wed 18th Sept

Just sneakily getting in here, as I know lots of Y6 parents are checking out the HA 2013 blog. Next Wednesday (18th Sept) is the first PTA Bun Sale and it is Class 4 providing the buns, please.

Quick update

Just to say we are all out of the centre today doing caving (group B), orienteering and raft building (group B) so we will try to blog 'live' but this will depend on signal. All children slept well last night. These pictures capture them last night singing 'barbie girl' with their teddies, for reasons not yet fully understood.

Eggbert and bed

Tonight's evening activity was Eggbert. We split into four teams and were given 30 minutes to make some form of protection for an egg getting dropped from the abseiling window. Lets just say we had varying degrees of success!

All the children have been in bed since 8.45 to get some sleep, ready for another great day tomorrow.

Climbing and abseiling

Group A have spent the afternoon on the climbing wall and abseiling down the side of the building.
They all did really, really well. Everyone managed to push themselves to at least half way up the wall and everyone abseiled down the side of the building (twice!) - which is really a massive achievement!

Caving

Group B have just returned from a thrilling time caving. It was quite challenging, particularly in the tight squeezes, but the group showed fantastic teamwork by offering a helping hand as well as words of encouragement and support. To top off a great afternoon, as repayment for their teacher's kind care and support throughout the session, the children poured the muddy, wet contents of their wellies over his head whilst his body was still stuck in the cave! Brilliant.

Archery

Group A's turn at the archery competition - our winner is the Katnis team (unsurprisingly given the name)!
